About the Traveling Praters
The Traveling Praters was never intended to be seen by outside eyes. Living in a 31-foot motor home with my husband, three homeschooled teenage children, and a rescued pound puppy, this blog began as an outlet to keep me sane and to allow friends and family “back home in Ohio” a glimpse of our new life, as we traveled with my husband’s job.
That was over eight years ago. My family survived 18-months as a full-time RVers and the blog has shifted from a personal journal to a valuable resource for those seeking information on:
- Family Travel- specifically traveling with teens and grown children
- Couples “on-the-verge-of-empty-nest” Travel
- Tips on How to Afford Family Travel
- Travel throughout the U.S.
Connect with The Traveling Praters
2017 promises to be a busy year. Two of my kids are leaving home to serve in the mission field in Mexico, while the other serves our country in the military, leaving my husband and I to adjust to life as empty nesters. We have big travel plans, which include a New England road trip so we can say we’ve visited 49 of the 50 states (Hawaii will have to wait), a trip to Mexico to visit our kids, and we’re gearing up for a 300-mile bike ride from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. I hope it doesn’t kill me.
